Survival Kits For Travelling

| |

If you travel frequently especially go camping or trekking or road trips, then you know how hard it is to find basic  necessities. In such times it is an absolute must to carry a survival kit. Survival kits are kits that contain all the basic  things one would need if stuck away from urban life, like in a forest or a on a mountain or in the desert. Normally these  kits are designed for survival in the wild but now with the number of natural calamities hitting the cities, there are office  and home survival kits too. The natural calamities that strike certain cities and towns makes it vital to have these. There  are still people stranded, alone and in need of help. In such times till help arrives, a survival kit sustains life.  Tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes are some of the natural calamities that strike certain cities.

The survival kit for these  cities should be stocked as per the individual needs. Apart from food tins, water bottles, small snacks like chocolate bars,  snickers too should be packed. These small bars are high in protein sugar which is required for the body to survive when  stuck. First aid kits containing band aid, gauze, cotton and some antiseptic liquid should be packed in, one can also add  pills required by family members here, like pain killers, or certain medication a member of the family may be taking for  example, diabetes pills. Do not forget a torch with extra set of batteries, an AM/FM radio, a whistle to attract for help,  blankets to keep warm, wet wipes, tissue paper, toilet paper and a board game or pack of cards to keep boredom at bay.

There are many survival kits available in the market. One can go to the store to check it out or look them up online. The  online stores have great value discounts making the purchase quite a bargain. These ready made kits are packed with the  required things and easy to fit in pouches materials. For example your torch may be big and bulky, the one in the ready made  survival kit has an easy rechargeable squeeze flashlight or a LED flashlight which is more suited to using it in such a  situation. The kits also have an MRE cook in the pouch packets. These pouches are boiled in water and the contents are ready  to eat. These pouches do not take up too much space and so a number of them can be packed into the survival kit. The contents  of a bought kit can always be changed as per individual needs.
